Chopin Preludes
Dodgson Bagatelles
Supported by the Stephen Dodgson Trust
Stephen Dodgson’s intriguing six bagatelles use combinations of words and music to paint vivid and distinct pictures. These are followed by another set of character pieces, Chopin’s revered 24 Preludes, Op. 28. With roots in Bach’s Well-Tempered Klavier as well as the Spanish and African influences of Majorca, the Preludes take us on a gothic journey of life and death.
